On film and developing
Item 1 - When taking pictures with the old camera, the one that is only 18 years old, make sure the lens is clean and the jealous people are silent.
Item 2 - When taking the pictures to develop at any of those places with a Fuji machine, ask for a CD with the high resolution TIFF version of the pictures in them, instead of the lossy ultracompact JPG compressions.
Item 3 - Be patient. It is, after all, the new year.

And what resolution can you achieve in the TIFFs?

Stu, as I understand, three things I get:
a) no compression
b) greater dynamic range
c) higher resolutin (5000 x something else)
the last one is still not yet clear, but I will post the results soon!
