Mary-Chan
This beautiful and not at all perturbing illustration from Mari-chan , whose intentions are
The goal of "Mari-chan" is to spread them all over the world and bring an end to the "character culture."
We are obssesed with characters because we are, in our interactions with others, characters - thus, the persona that we have can explore possibilities, reinvent itself, discover that which may lend a new perspective, a conceptual light, the smallest epiphany. That is the beauty of the avatar, that we create and destroy according to our taste.

That is a little bit disturbing.

This is a little much disturbing - but the blog must be shocking, lest it becomes inconsequential.
Also, since it seems that the artist is a woman, it is interesting to see a drawing about menstruation - men dominate the corporate decisions, and shun this kind of subjects from the general media (Remember the tampon ads with blue liquids?). So, this particular drawing becomes an alternative expression about a subject that is real, commonplace, and avoided just out of male inability to deal with an uncomfortable (for them) idea.
Yes, I am a boy, so what :)
